Equipment

The Faculty Assistance Center has a large variety of equipment for faculty and staff use and checkout.  Faculty may drop in at anytime to use the equipment or call in advance to reserve or check out equipment.

• Computers: We two private workstations with a variety of software programs available.

• Scanners: We have a slide scanner for importing slide images or negatives and flatbed scanners for photos and text.

• Printers: We have a standard black and white printer as well as a laser color printer. Our color inkjet printer is capable of printing documents up to 13” x 19” large. For larger images, we have a professional quality plotter capable of printing images up to 36” wide.

• CD/DVD Burners: Our computers are equipped with CD and DVD Burners that can be used to save material to CD or DVD.

• VHS/DVD Recorders: We have a Go Video Dual Deck recorder capable of recording tape to tape and a SONY DVD Recorder + VCR that can record to DVD or VHS. 

• Digital Camera: We have a digital camera available for your checkout and use. You can download your photos here in the FAC and use the Deskjet printer to produce quality photographic images.

• Lamination and Binding Equipment: We have a non-electric laminating system capable of handling documents up to 11" wide as well as a manual plastic comb binding system ideal for binding standard letter-size documents. 

• Audio/Video Equipment: We have AV equipment available for check out including tv/vcr carts, video projectors, and laptop computers.

• Mobile Presentation Cart: We have a mobile presentation cart designed specifically for education purposes. The cart comes equipped with a LCD projector and document camera, a DVD/VCR player, and a powered monitor speaker and microphone.

When you arrive at the FAC to pick up equipment, you will need to complete an Equipment Check Out Form. This form verifies the contents and condition of the equipment you intend to use. Equipment cannot be released without a completed check out form.
